Sailor Take Warning

"Sailor Take Warning" by Emma PlitznerAcrylic Paint, 24 inches x 18 inchesThis piece features an overly sized giant squid idly swimming underneath a long ship in equal size. The sunset sky behind the ship has equal color to the squid that makes the creature stand out in comparison to the ocean where it resides. Though the squid stands out contrast, the orange speckling makes the squid seem a like to a reflection of the sky. The purple of the clouds are of equal color to the shadows on the squid. I ultimately decided to submit this piece because it is the most recent one I completed and the colors of sky in comparison to the squid make the unreal scene seem picturesque.
