He’s just floating on the surface of the cosmosMy fingers dust over the outer rings of JupiterHis clothes cling to his skin(He’s a good swimmer.) Stars drip off his bones and he thinks monkey, airplane, soldier. monkey, airplane, soldier. The Milky Way fills his ears I watch him swallow a bit of a galaxy and he coughsHis breath is the ocean floorA sigh of relief beach day.My mouth is a black hole and he sees his reflection in the sky  The Moon pulls a wave He’s swept into the swell and starlight stings his eyesCradled in the arms of a cometMercury and Neptune tumble over each other  I’ll tread in dark matter this time Can I swim?
